Free Eclipse Viewers for your Group
We are thrilled by the overwhelming responses of enthusiasm from schools/classes and other participating organizations. We quickly surpassed our original goal of 5-10,000 participants, grew to 20,000 and finally to a total of about 30,000 participants (we tried to buy more). We are happy that we have filled the vast majority of all requests and that we only had to turn away a small number.
Thank You!

Safety Information:

Eye safety is a priority for us. We are not experts, however the American Astronomical Society (AAS) seems to be a recognized source of information on eclipse eye safety. Please visit their Eye Safety During Solar Eclipses page for information. Our eclipse viewers were sourced directly from Rainbow Symphony, a California-based supplier on the AAS list of "Safe Solar Viewers and Filters" (which page is also linked on the NASA web site). We have obtained copies of testing certifications that they have provided to demonstrate compliance with the ISO 12312-2 international safety standard for solar viewing.
